POM是一種表面光滑、有光澤的硬而致密的材料,淡黃或白色,薄壁部分呈半透明。燃燒特性為容易燃燒,離火后繼續(xù)燃燒,火焰上端呈黃色,下端呈藍(lán)色,發(fā)生熔融滴落,有強(qiáng)烈的刺激性甲醛味、魚腥臭。
POM為白色一般不透明,著色性好, 比重1.41-1.43克/立方厘米,成型收縮率1.2-3.0%,成型溫度170-200℃ ,干燥條件80-90℃ 2小時(shí)。POM的長(zhǎng)期耐熱性能不高,但短期可達(dá)到160℃,其中均聚POM短期耐熱比共聚POM高10℃以上,但長(zhǎng)期耐熱共聚POM反而比均聚POM高10℃左右。可在-40℃~100℃溫度范圍內(nèi)長(zhǎng)期使用。POM極易分解,分解溫度為240度。分解時(shí)有刺激性和腐蝕性氣體發(fā)生,故模具鋼材宜選用耐腐蝕性的材料制作。
(1)POM是結(jié)晶型塑料,密度為1.42g/cm3,它的鋼性很好,俗稱“賽鋼”.
(2)它具有耐疲勞、耐蠕變、耐磨、耐熱、耐沖擊等優(yōu)良的性能,且摩擦系數(shù)小,自潤(rùn)滑性好.
(3)POM不易吸濕,吸水率為0.22~0.25%,在潮濕的環(huán)境中尺寸穩(wěn)定性好,其收縮率為2.1%(較大),注塑時(shí)尺寸較難控制,熱變形溫度為172℃
POM強(qiáng)度、剛度高,彈性好,減磨耐磨性好。其力學(xué)性能優(yōu)異,比強(qiáng)度可達(dá)50.5MPa,比剛度可達(dá)2650MPa,與金屬十分接近。POM的力學(xué)性能隨溫度變化小,共聚POM比均聚POM的變化稍大一點(diǎn)。POM的沖擊強(qiáng)度較高,但常規(guī)沖擊不及ABS和PC;POM對(duì)缺口敏感,有缺口可使沖擊強(qiáng)度下降90%之多。POM的疲勞強(qiáng)度十分突出,10交變載荷作用后,疲勞強(qiáng)度可達(dá)35MPa,而PA和PC僅為28MPa。POM的蠕變性與PA相似,在20℃、21MPa、3000h時(shí)僅為2.3%,而且受溫度的影響很小。POM的摩擦因數(shù)小,耐磨性好(POM>PA66>PA6>ABS>HPVC>PS>PC),極限PV值很大,自潤(rùn)滑性好。POM制品對(duì)磨時(shí),高載荷作用時(shí)易產(chǎn)生類似尖叫的噪聲。
